Kitty's Log
Date: 10-08-2021
Weather: Kind of dull
Hello dear friends and happy Tuesday!
I hope all is well...
I am writing to you from a somewhat"grey with sunny spells" Maastricht today and - having been soaked in an unexpected shower earlier this morning (that three metre dash from the corner of the patio back inside was traumatic ;) - I have decided to hold-up indoors for the rest of the day!

My humans have been working from home since March 2020 so I am rather used to them being around (all the time!) but today my human had an extra day off so that was a treat.
She was still at home as normal but it meant that her attention was fully (vs. partly) on me as she was not behind her work laptop. Hurrah!
We had a busy morning mind...
She had to clean-out and re-organize the pantry (I helped), sort out my toy basket (I definitely helped!) and re-pot the orchids (I helped again but it seems trying to catch the delicate flowers was not welcome ;)
Sunday (August 8th) was International Cat Day which was lots of fun. I sent out some love to my fellow kitties and enjoyed a cozy day at home with (both) my humans. I had extra treats, got a new toy and had lots of snuggles! It was a good day :)

My human was getting all nostalgic at one point as she began to think about when we all met for the first time and how they adopted me as a kitten and stuff...
I like the story but I don't like seeing my human all weepy so I rolled onto my back to show-off my fluffy tummy and cute toe beans and that cheered her up!
This coming weekend should be quite exciting... my humans are going to do a spot of volunteering.
During the recent floods here in Maastricht (and many other places in this area), much of the nearby nature reserve was severely damaged. Some fellow fluffies sadly lost their lives and other animals lost their homes... Many trees and flowers also got broken and are now choked with garbage and plastic :(
My humans signed-up to volunteer with "Maas Clean-Up"- they will help gather up rubbish and clear-out the area. I am very proud of them!

We have also start watching a new programme on Dutch TV called "Wild op de Veluwe"... it highlights all the fabulous animals, birds, fish (and more) that live in this vast nature area of the Netherlands. It was a very entertaining programme and was beautifully filmed... we are already looking forward to the next episode.
Well dear friends, that's about it for me this week... I am off to continue with my afternoon snoozies and to begin dreaming about dinner (there's Royal Canin on the menu..!!!)
Until next time... take care out there! Love, LT xx
