Hello dear friends,

I hope that 2021 has been treating you well so far...

Not much to update since last week... despite all the promise of snow, there was none to speak of in Maastricht itself. But we did get some rain, lots and lots of rain!

Because of that, I have not been venturing outside all that much...

I have instead been snuggling-up indoors and concentrating on my grooming, kitty treat consumption and my usual snooze time.

I have also been having a lot of fun on my new scratching post! It is nice and high so I can scamper up and then impressively balance myself on the top. I do this several times in a row - it's most exciting.. and I even wore my favourite cat tie!

I have also been busy watching BBC First (a change from Netflix) and enjoying the compelling Miss Marple series. It is very engaging and there are quite some famous faces showing up... although (rather shockingly) many of them seem to get killed off in the story!

My humans received some Christmas cards yesterday which was rather amusing... and just goes to demonstrate the postal delays that have been in place recently. And based on the latest Press Conference here in the Netherlands, it seems that the Covid-19 lockdown is going to continue again for another three weeks. I expect it is much the same in other countries around Europe... certainly some tough times still to come.

Wishing you all a safe week ahead... looks like I will be spending much of my time helping my human with a new 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle... the joys!
