Hello dear friends, and happy Monday! Here I am once again to (finally) put paw-to-keyboard...

I hope this finds you well and that you have been enjoying a nice weekend... here in the Netherlands, we have been marking Easter - which also means a day off today. Hurrah!

And the weather has been most cooperative for the long weekend... sunshine, blue skies and toasty temperatures.

As you can see, I have been making the most of it and hanging out on the Catio! (also to enjoy a little chin-scratch on some garden chairs ;)

Speaking of sunny blue skies, my humans were off gallivanting again earlier this month.

This time, they headed to Barcelona and had a really wonderful time. And - as you might expect from Spain - some fabulous weather too!

This was only their second visit to Barcelona but they are surely under its spell...

With a fabulous room at the H10 Montcada Hotel (complete with rooftop terrace and Jacuzzi), they spent their time exploring the Gothic Quarter and El Born, enjoying walks along La Barceloneta and savouring all the great food, tapas, wine and beer... (read more at Taylor Made The Blog : )

I strongly suspect this will not be their last visit to the Catalan capital!

I once again stayed at De Gelaarsde Kat cat hotel in Maastricht and once again, received 5-star treatment :)

Away from travels and just last week, my human (finally) had her foot surgery. She was in the hospital the entire day and came home rather drained and with quite a large bandage on her left foot.

As you can see, I immediately went into Dr. Tubby mode and followed up closely on aftercare!

I understand that the medication she is on is pretty strong but it does seem to be keeping any pain at bay which is great.

She ended up sleeping for three nights on the sofa (was the easiest way to keep the foot elevated) so I divided my nighttime hours sleeping next to herself in the living room, and himself in the bedroom.

I didn't mind at all. I quite like being active at night and was happy to be on kitty "observation" duty!

I still can't quite believe it's already mid-April, mind... how fast time goes.

As mentioned in my last blog post, we have a fun month coming up with another short (work) week next week - we have Wednesday 27th off in honour of King's Day and this year, the Dutch Royal Family will be visiting Maastricht (I am going to watch the festivities on TV with my human... and her crutches ;)

And then at the end of the month, it's my birthday (I may have already mentioned that a few times ;) and also that of my human's... and then we are into May. OMG!

But it's all good as we have yet more public holidays to look forward to, hopefully some (increasingly) good weather and... Stranger Things (season 4) is back on Netflix!

I can't wait to return to Hawkins, Indiana... "Every Ending Has A Beginning", people!
