Hello dear friends and happy Friday!

Can you believe another week has passed?

And what a week it has been... my goodness!

We have had tropical temperatures (in the 30's) here in Maastricht over the past few days and honestly, it's been tough going at times...

I find I am very tetchy and find it so hard to cool-off. My humans have fans going indoors and they ensure I have shade if I decide to venture on the Catio... there is one lovely spot in the corner under the trees!

Plus, I am getting ice-cubes in my water bowl (it's like a cocktail!) and they are keeping an eye on my food too... it's mostly kibble on these warm days and a little soft food in the morning (with a bit of water added) before it gets too hot.

Don't get me wrong - I love a sunshine snoozy but there is sunshine and there is muggy weather and I'm not good with muggy!

Aside from a quiet week (largely due to the high temps), I've just been taking it easy really. I watched the final of the Great British Sewing Bee (what a series!) and was happy for Serena that she won.

Oh, and I received a pair of kitty sunglasses - was a lovely surprise! - so stay tuned for some photos of me in my sunnies... They are pretty cool "John Lennon" type glasses and I think they will certainly give me an (extra) cool vibe this summer :)

Next to that, the Euro 2020 football tournament kicked-off (see what I did there ;) last week. I haven't been watching all games but every now and then, my humans and I will tune in for a match...

And with regard to the footie, we actually have an Old Moore's Almanac (my human gets a copy every year from her mom in Ireland) and they have predicted that Germany will win the tournament... so let's see if they are right!

And that's not the only sporting feature at the moment - the next Formula 1 race is coming up on June 20th. This time, it's from France... I will check it out and see how my favourite (Danny Ric) will do...

And June 20th is also Father's Day (and yes, I have arranged a little gift for my human :)

For the rest, I think this weekend will be pretty calm. I believe my humans will venture out on one of their photo walks at some point and I also heard talk of a visit to IKEA - seems some new bed clothes and wine glasses (a rather strange combo if you ask me) are required.

I also heard that there is a little "clean-up around the house" in the planning... Sheesh! I hope "Damien the vacuum" doesn't make an appearance ;)

Well dear friends, that's about it for this week...

It's now time for a spot of dinner (Royal Canin for me and fish & chips for the humans) and then I'm going to enjoy a spot of sofa time and a little TV... The Mentalist (it's an old series but really good) is on tonight...
