Hello dear friends and happy Sunday! Yes indeed, I am rather late with this post... my apologies. I'm not sure what's been going on but there just don't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment.

And with the risk of forgetting to mention this later, I want to already send special birthday wishes to my dear Auntie B over in Ireland today! She is a really lovely lady and I miss her lots but hopefully - one day soon - we will get to meet and have a hug :)

Yesterday was rather exciting as my humans left the Netherlands for the first time since March 2020. They crossed the border to visit Aachen...

They headed to one of their favourite cafe's (Extra Blatt) for a yummy buffet breakfast and then had a walk around the city (it was sunny yesterday) and did a spot of shopping... all this information is just nonsense really as the main reason for telling you this story is to share the fact that I got some kitty treats from Germany!

I do like to "mix-it-up" in terms of kitty treats and the German stuff has cool names like Schnurr and Dein Bestes!

In any case, I was a super happy kitty and the treats were super yum (thank you, dear humans).

Next to that, there is a new hobby here at Casa Little Tubbs... my humans have started building with LEGO (I fear there is no hope ;)

They are currently working on a Star Wars themed thing - a spaceship or so (from somewhere called the Dark Side, based on what I've heard...).

I don't really like the building part but I do enjoy playing with the little individual LEGO blocks.

They are purrfectly paw-sized and great for bopping with my toe beans (not so great for my humans though as they have to spend time finding the missing pieces... oh, the merriment!)

And if that weren't enough, there has also been some work going on around the house... some things have been relocated and others have been chucked out or re-purposed.

At one point, my (big) scratching post was placed in a different part of the living room but I immediately expressed my dis-satisfaction and (five minutes later), it was back where it belonged and I was busy with some quality scratching action!

The other day I was also busy with some hide and seek activity...

I also have a (small) scratching post and it has a little "cubby hole" area underneath.

I can still fit in (erm... just ;) and it was great fun to poke my head out or extend a paw... kept my humans entertained for quite some time, I can tell you!

But back to today and things are shaping up to be pretty calm... my humans are due to go to lunch with some friends (these friends have recently added a little dog to their family - yikes! A dog? Really?!) and to then visit some family members at their holiday spot... here's hoping the weather picks up mind (at the moment, it's pretty grey here with the promise of more rain).

I think I'll take advantage of having the house to myself in any case and enjoy some quiet lazing indoors with the sound of the raindrops drumming away outside. Lovely (though maybe not in August...)

And what of the week ahead? Well Monday is on the horizon so my humans will be back to work.

On Tuesday my human has an appointment at the hospital to see about planning a date for an operation on her foot. Although a bit scary, I think it will be a relief to finally have the surgery done, despite having to use crutches for several weeks afterwards... this is why I'm glad I have four feet!

And on Wednesday afternoon (both humans are off), they are going to a local brewery to record an interview... my female human will be chatting in front of the camera and my male human will be filming the video #dreamteam !

Well dear friends, I think that's about all my paws can manage for now... next time, I think I'll just dictate and have one of my humans type the post. Mwahaha!
