Kitty's Log
Date: 23-10-2021
Weather: Dry and bright but chilly
Hello dear friends, and happy Saturday (or Caturday, I should say!)
I am so sorry that's it's been over two weeks since my last post... things have been a bit hectic around here and a kitty's gotta do what a kitty's gotta do! But finally, I have found time to sit my human down and dictate my latest post to her...

So what's been happening? Well Autumn has been continuing and more leaves are starting to fall but, despite some cold and rainy days, there have also been some beautifully dry and sunny ones.
That said, I have not been venturing out onto the Catio too much but when the sun shines into the dining room, it really makes for a toasty spot to take a nap.
When not lazing in some pool of sunlight, you can find me on my cat hammock near the radiator... choices can be tough ;)
Next to that, I have been going through a phase of midnight zoomies of late... which is really starting to bug my humans! We all head to bed together at around 11pm or so but I find I am wide awake about an hour or two later... so I have to bug my sleeping humans (they look so peaceful :) with my paws and some meows until one of them gets up to let me out onto the Catio.
I like to have a snuffle around in the dark (and I must admit, I do sometimes spy a little mouse) and with the full moon recently, it makes for a rather fun adventure.
Maybe I'm just getting into the Halloween vibe early? I have already dusted off my Halloween bow-ties and I'm ready to "dial-up the spooky!" - but not too spooky as I am a bit of a scaredy-cat deep down ;)

Away from Halloween, it looks like my humans are going to Ireland in December... well, as long as Covid-19 will allow (seems numbers are going up again but let's keep our paws crossed and hope it all works out).
I know my human is really keen to visit as it has been almost two years since she last saw her family and the Emerald Isle.
And speaking of December, there is already talk of Christmas... one of my favourite times of the year! I love the gifties, the (extra) kitty treats, the lights and the carols... and sometimes, it even snows which is very pretty and magical.
I like to venture outside when it's snowy (though my black tuxedo does tend to stand out a bit against the white) and to leave some little paw prints behind. Did you know that as of today, there are just 63 days until Christmas Day? How fast time is going...
Like my humans and me, are you also waiting to see the John Lewis commercial for 2021?
Rumour has it (excuse the pun ;) that Adele is going to provide the song this year... It will be a tough act to follow mind - my all-time favourite John Lewis commercial is still the "Bear & the Hare" from 2013, followed closely by the 2015 "Man on the Moon" advert.
And guess what? My humans are finally going to see the James Bond "No Time To Die" movie tomorrow at the Pathe cinema. #itsabouttime !
I'm curious now what they will think of it - seems there are mixed reviews going around... But whatever happens, I believe they are looking forward to some popcorn and M&Ms!
For the rest, tonight will see us tuning-in to Blankety Blank on BBC One - it really makes for fun viewing, and that Bradley Walsh is such a cheeky chappie! And tomorrow, most of the evening will be taken-up with the Formula 1 race... this time, from Texas in the USA.
If I may, I will leave you with a little joke inspired by the F1:
Q: How does a Texan cat say hi?
A: Meow-dy!
(well, I thought it was funny ;)
Wishing you all a great evening, enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back again soon!
Love, LT xx
