Kitty's Log
Date: 24-11-2020
Weather: Dry and bright with a chill in the air
Hello dear friends,
So last week Friday I found myself unexpectedly in my carrier box... there I was snoozing on the radiator, dreaming about kitty treats when suddenly my "spidey sense" was activated...
I could even feel it in my toe-beans... something was up!
So it seems that my humans were supposed to go to Ireland this weekend...
However - because of Covid-19 restrictions - they again couldn't travel to the Emerald Isle.
So instead, they decided to pack-up the car and head to the Dutch coast (some place called Vlissingen) for an overnight stay.
Now I am not a fan of water so there was no way I would have wanted to join them at the seaside...
So it was good that they had arranged a night's accommodation for me with Dave's mom.
Tiny and I have met before but it had been a while since I stayed at her house... She is a really nice lady though and she just loves cats (and dogs, and... well, animals in general ;) so I knew I was in good hands!
Although I didn't like being moved from my radiator snooze spot, once I knew where we were going, I began to relax. I stayed in my carrier on the back-seat of the car next to Tracey and before I knew it, we were in the little village of Wijlre. Gosh, it's really quiet in the countryside...
But the best news is that Tiny loves to give kitty treats!! I had so many liquid snacks - love those Vitakraft things - in the space of 48 hours. It was great!!
I also got plenty mousse and kibble (Royal Canin of course) and got to sleep in Tiny's bed (I always sleep with my humans so it was nice that I could also curl-up under her duvet for a snuggle).
My humans returned for me the next day having "blown away the cobwebs" (whatever that means) and I was very happy to see them... they smelled salty (I guess from that sea air they spoke about) but looked refreshed.
Before I knew it, we were packed up again and I was saying goodbye and thank you to Tiny... and then we were back home in Maastricht.
So a rather unusual weekend but nice all the same...
For the rest, I've been taking it easy... except for when the door bell rings. There are so many parcels being delivered these days... I believe they may be gifts for Christmas (which is now just 31 days away) but whatever the reason, it means lots of cardboard boxes for me to play in!
Speaking of Christmas, I heard that my humans are going to buy our Christmas tree this weekend so stayed tuned for more on that... I love climbing in between the branches and as for those baubles... oh, the merriment!
Have a good week everyone :)
Love, LT xx
