Hello dear friends and happy Sunday!

I hope you have had a good week...

Here in Maastricht, things are well... the heavy rains and floods that I wrote about last time have ceased (thankfully) and although the damage is still being assessed, it seems things are going better again here in South Limburg...

I've had a pretty OK week, I must say... I've been splitting my time between indoor lazing and outdoor snoozies ;)

Although the weather is dry and bright today, it has still been a bit dull (even chilly) at times over the past few days - but not to worry, I'm not such a fussy cat and I can pretty much sleep everywhere!

While not napping, I have been keeping a close eye on the 2020 Olympic Games which kicked-off in Tokyo last Friday...

My-oh-my, that pictogram performance (representing all the disciplines) was pretty darn cool!

The swimming/diving stuff is exciting but sort of scary (I am not really a water fan) so I believe if I were to represent at the Olympics, I might go for Gymnastics (I reckon I'd be pretty good on the balance beam ;) or maybe the High-Jump..?

Either way, I am certain I'd make for a star "C-athlete"..! I could also demonstrate my knack for drinking water and set a new "lap" record (!) or maybe even enter the Meow-athon... ;)

OK, moving on... ...

Before I forget, I must give a little shout-out to my humans who are celebrating their 12 year anniversary today... congratulations my dears! x

We decided to have a nice brunch at home together and - as you can see - I made an effort and donned my fancy bow-tie in honour of the special occasion.

I had an extra big bowl of Royal Canin with some kitty treats on the side... Very tasty! (and it looked much nicer than the croissants, jam, bread and eggs that my humans were munching on)...

For the rest, there was some upheaval in the house last week... my humans decided to re-arrange the attic room.

It all started because my human needed a new desk (for her home office work but also for a little "creative space"). They went off to a secondhand store and came back with a rather nifty table (seems it was a bargain too).

I must say that the space really does look very nice and seems to have taken on a new "cool vibe"...

Also, the new table is now right under the window sill so it gives me extra space to roam and makes it even easier for me to venture outside onto the attic roof.

I do like to explore!

Well dear friends, I think that is about it for this week... the sun is shining so I'm eager to close the laptop and get outdoors to make the most of it.

I might listen to a little music (mew-sic? ;) while I'm at it...

My human (finally) got herself a Spotify account so I've been hearing a lot of different tunes over the past few days... The favourite at the moment appears to be "The Kinks" (some band from back in the 60's) - the music isn't too bad and I rather like the song "Waterloo Sunset" but it's nothing compared to my favourite band: Meowtallica!
