Greetings dear friends and I hope all is well!

I am quite excited about putting paw-to-keyboard today... it will be my last post as a 10 year old kitty. Yes indeed people, as of tomorrow (April 30th), I will be the grand old age of 11!

My humans have the day off so we are going to have a fun day together, I am sure... I am looking forward to an extra special breakfast (and I do believe there are some gifties - plural! - for me too :)

Earlier this week (on April 27th), it was King's Day here in the Netherlands and it was another day off for my humans and me.

The weather was really lovely so my humans went out for a walk in the morning (I stayed home to catch up on some sunshine snoozies).

Then in the afternoon, we enjoyed some special orange tompouce (they are like custard slices) together - I particularly enjoyed a little bit of the cream!

And in honour of the King's birthday (he is a chap called Willem-Alexander), I donned my little Dutch flag ribbon... I felt very regal, I must say.

In other news, there has been yet more "re-vamping" of our patio garden - plants have been placed in new spots and a wooden screen thing has been added to conceal a "storage corner". Some existing chairs have been replaced with something much more comfy and last but not least, some hanging lamp bulbs have been installed. The lamps are rather cool actually and give a nice warm glow when it's dark (it makes the garden feel like some fancy outdoor terrace in Italy or so!)

In any case, I believe my humans are done with the patio re-vamp at this stage and we are now "summer ready!".

And what about the rest of today..? Well my first priority is a morning nap in one of my baskets (I do believe I'll snooze until lunch time) and then (hopefully), I can get outside to enjoy some afternoon sunshine (it's a tad dull right now but I have high hopes the weather will pick-up a bit as the day goes on).
