Hello dear friends and happy Saturday! (or Caturday as we say in kitty circles ;) I do hope all is well and that you have been having a good start to the year... It's hard to believe that February 1st will already be here in just a few days time (though for those of us who find January to be a tad "depressing", maybe it's a good thing!)

Since I last put paw-to-keyboard, there has not been all that much going on...

The weather has been pretty grey and dull, and also quite cold at times. I have still been venturing out onto the Catio but it's all so still and "dead" that it's not so exciting. The plants and trees (in their terracotta pots) are dormant and sensibly resting until warmer spring weather arrives.

The birds are pretty active mind - little fluffy mites - and my humans are replenishing their feeders on a daily basis. I see lots of peanuts, "fat balls", and seeds going outside.

And speaking of going outdoors, my humans went out last Wednesday as restaurants and cafés are again allowed to open here in the Netherlands... only until 10pm mind but it's surely a start and is indeed welcome. So I had the house all to myself for a few hours (lovely) while my humans nipped to their "local΅ (Café Forum) to enjoy a few drinkies and a plate of (vegetarian) mini-bites. Seems like they really enjoyed it and it was great to be out and soaking up the good vibe.

Speaking of good vibes, my human is also "back on the mat" at her yoga class. She's even gotten herself a new yoga-mat bag - it has cute foxes and owls on it (no cats though, harrumph!). I like the idea of yoga and I certainly have the Cat Pose down (less so the downward facing dog ;)

Away from cats and dogs, and it's all about the spider at Chez Tubbs at the moment... And not just our house spider (Bitsy) who lives in the bathtub but also, Peter Parker.

In fact, my humans are off to the movies (as cinemas are open here again as well) to see ¨No Way Home" and enjoy some popcorn, M&Ms, sodas and the latest installment from Marvel Comics.

I feel I've overdosed on the Spider-Man franchise recently as my humans were busy catching-up on the previous films... In the past 48 hours, I've seen "Homecoming" and "Far from Home" which were both super good... (Marvel-lous even! ;)))

And what of the rest of the day...? Well first up, it'll be some breakfast, followed by lunch...

I think we will also be tuning into Saturday Kitchen on the BBC (the lovely Matt is back) and it seems he will be joined by the (equally lovely) Ching He Huang who will be cooking up some special dishes in honour of Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) which starts on February 1st.

2022 will be the Year of the Tiger. How cat-tastic! A year especially for us (big) cats... It seems the Year of the Tiger is associated with bravery, confidence and strength. Meow! Sounds pretty good to me.
