Weather: Chilly, Windy and Rainy

Hello dear friends, and happy Autumn!

Oh yes, the "season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” has certainly arrived in the Netherlands...

Since my last post, the weather has surely taken a more chilly turn, the wind has gotten more intense, the leaves are starting to fall and the radiators are coming on more and more often. It's all good really - there is nothing like a toasty snooze!

I do still enjoy a potter on the Catio mind - even when it's raining (OK, maybe not super heavy rain but I still venture out ;)

I have sussed out the best spots to seek shelter when I go on my little outdoor adventures:

  1. Under the BBQ that looks like an egg

  2. Under the garden bench

  3. Under the tree in the patio corner

(it's actually our Christmas tree from last year - and yes, it's still going strong!)

For the rest, the main chit-chat the last few days is about James Bond. I fancy myself as a bit of a secret agent... I mean, I already have the tuxedo, I am very dashing & handsome, I have a license to kill (well, to play ;) and I love a meow-tini - shaken, not purred!

Maybe I could be the next 007?!

Anyhow, my humans are all set to go to the movies this weekend to see Daniel Craig in "No time to die"... I'm curious to hear what they think of this 25th James Bond movie.

I will give the cinema a miss... I am not a fan of popcorn nor do I have a Covid QR code ;)

On another note, Monday just gone (October 4th) was World Animal Day! It was a good day for me... I had a yummy breakfast, a great lunch, caught up on some snoozies, had some (extra) snuggles and even had a potter on the Catio in the autumn sunshine.

I also enjoyed a good ear scratch (as you can see) and wore my favourite cat-tie as my humans arranged a special dinner for the day that was in it - it was fab!

I did feel sad for my fellow fur, feather and fin friends who were perhaps not having such a nice Animal Day though :( #sendinglove

To follow on from last week's post, my humans did not buy any of the houses they went to view. They did put in an offer on one, I believe but seems it wasn't meant to be. So I will remain where I am supposed to be in the heart of Maastricht (I'm sort of like Carrie Bradshaw - she never left Manhattan, right?)

And the first pumpkin (of many, I expect) arrived home the other day. They are a funny ol' fruit, huh?

There was big drama about what to do with said pumpkin... First there was talk of a pie, then a soup and now it seems the pumpkin is going to be roasted like little potatoes. Honestly, my humans do make things unnecessarily complicated! I just stick with my Royal Canin kibble and various types of kitty mousse and treats. Easy!

Well dear friends, I'll leave it there for now... I need to finish up as my human has to get to her Hatha Yoga class and she is doing the typing for me today (you just can't get the staff... ;)

Wishing you all a great weekend ahead and - for those of you who will be watching - enjoy the F1 race from Turkey this Sunday #vroomvroom

Love and hugs from Maastricht!

LT xx
