Kitty's Log

Date: 08-06-2021

Weather: Changeable

Hello dear friends, and hope all is well...

I know, I know... I am super late in doing my blog post.

My last update was on May 26 which seems like an age ago. I meant to do a post on June 1 (to usher in the new month) but it didn't happen... for some reason, I just never found time last week to put paw to keyboard. Seems it was one of "those" weeks!

But anyhow, here I am again and let me get right in with my updates :)

First things first... I have been back on the Catio (hurrah!). It's so nice to stretch out on the warm tiles and enjoy some sunshine. That said, at one point the weather became so muggy, it was way too warm for kitties so I just stayed indoors and did a lot of "cat lounging" to keep cool.

Speaking of cool (see what I did there? ;), I was gifted with a new cat bandana last week! #lovemyhumans

Isn't it pawesome?

I really love the little stars and I do believe that blue could be my colour (that said, I do also look fabulous in red but a kitty has to have choices, right? ;)

ree

My humans are in a crazy "spring clean" phase (though they are a bit late in my opinion!) and there are lots of cupboards, drawers and boxes being inspected... seems they have accumulated a lot of stuff and it's now being called "clutter".

I left them to it and continued with my snoozies but I did make it clear that nothing from my basket of bits & bobs was for throwing away - it's all good stuff!

Next to that, there was some excitement on Sunday last as my humans went out for brunch and got to sit inside a restaurant!

They went to a place called Harry's (another of their favourites) and really had a lovely time... I decided not to join as I felt my humans deserved a little quality time together (and it meant I also had the house to myself for a few hours :)

And later this week they are off to the movies (they are certainly making the most of the recent lift on restrictions). I hear they are going to see a film called "Nomadland" (at the Lumiere cinema) which has apparently received a bunch of awards... #funtimes

And big news! My humans have only gone and ordered a new coffee machine - it's called a Moccamaster (fancy!) and is a Dutch made item.

ree

It seems it makes really nice filter coffee so I suspect we are going to have lots of Arabica aromas in the house in the coming days! I'm not a huge fan of coffee myself, I prefer water (preferably from the bird bath ;), liquid snacks and the odd bit of cream. But to each his own, right..?

And I'm not sure if I told you but there has been talk of vacations in Casa del Tubbs! My humans are thinking about a road-trip to Germany (the Black Forest) for a few days in September. I don't think it's 100% confirmed yet as travel stuff is still a little uncertain but the hotel is booked and fingers are crossed...

I will go to another accommodation while they are in Germany (I am not a huge fan of long car rides) so I'll be off to my favourite Cat Hotel (called "Puss in Boots") for some 5-star treatment :)

Well dear friends, I think that is it for this week... As I type from the dining room table, I can see that the rain from yesterday is moving away, the dark clouds are lifting and a little sunlight is starting to shine... so today might be a nice weather day after all.

And I can also see that the Catio is becoming busy with some birdies visiting for breakfast at the feeders... time for me to take up my position at the window and do a spot of cat-chirping!

Sending you lots of love... Oh, and a special shout-out to my dear Auntie C in Brighton who is celebrating her 82nd birthday today... What a great age. And what a great lady!

Until next week,

LT xx
